Dawn Reinhardt-Wood

Faculty

Dawn Reinhardt-Wood is a Lecturer in the Department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Counseling Professions at Rutgers University. She has over 20 years of experience in the mental health field in crisis, residential, case management, and supportive housing settings. She currently provides technical assistance, consultation, and training to state psychiatric hospitals. Ms. Reinhardt-Wood previously directed supportive housing and homeless outreach programs, managing several state and federal contracts in the non-profit community mental health setting. A Disaster Response Crisis Counselor (DRCC) and Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP), she has provided disaster mental health services in the aftermath of the September 11th attacks, Superstorm Sandy, youth suicides, and international events impacting US citizens. A doctoral candidate in Health Science-Psychiatric Rehabilitation, Ms. Reinhardt-Wood’s research interests lie at the intersection of sexual health and recovery of people living with psychiatric conditions.
