Apr. 19, 2023: Professor Li Cai has been awarded a HealthAdvance grant for $150,000 for his project, entitled “Gsx1 gene therapy for spinal cord injury.” HealthAdvance Fund is the funding platform of Rutgers Optimizes Innovation (ROI) program established with a $4 million grant received under the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Research Evaluation And Commercialization Hub (REACH).

Nov. 16, 2022: Professors Valerie Tutwiler, Li Cai, and Martin Yarmush have been awarded a New Jersey Commission on Spinal Cord Research grant for their project entitled “Mechanisms of thrombotic risk following spinal cord injury”. This award is for $600,000 over 3 years.
