Participating Labs
The Cognition and Learning Center (CALC) designs studies to investigate the origins of our knowledge and how we learn about the world around us, such as how we come to have concepts such as “red”, “friend”, and “42”. Many of the CALC studies focus on infants and young children as a model of human cognition.
The Sensory Motor Integration Lab (SMIL) connects mind and body by leveraging smart sensing technologies and modelling the natural dynamics of social bodies in motion under the brain’s self-sensed predictive control.
We aim at unraveling the mysteries of human autonomous intelligence and social cognition.
The Cognitive Development Lab (CDL) studies “Theory of Mind” mechanisms in infants and preschoolers, as well as physical and social cognition in infants.
