Neurobiology I: Cell and Molecular (Fall) – Mechanisms of action potentials, neurotransmitter release, neuronal plasticity, etc.

Neurobiology II: Systems and Behavior, Spring. Understanding the function of brain regions and how their dysfunction underlies neurological diseases. Neuro I is not necessarily required to enroll in Neuro II. Please contact me if you are interested in this course.

NeuroCURE (Spring) – This course is required for all students interested in performing research in the Corbett Lab. You will learn the basics of quantifying protein in discrete brain regions using immunohistochemistry, confocal microscopy, image analysis, and statistics. Students will present their work at Bio Day and publish their work in the Rutgers Journal of Biological Science. The ultimate goal is to have projects published in peer-reviewed journals as parts of larger projects in the lab.
