You can obtain the discount code by emailing organizers, and then book your room with the hotel by April 1st, with the code provided. The rate per night after taxes is $160.03.
Airports: there is an international airport in Newark, with the code EWR. The other airports in the area are JFK and La Guardia (both international), and, further away, Westchester County Airport (domestic). There is a free hotel shuttle from Newark airport to TRYP hotel. It is also possible to use Uber or Lyft apps for a ride from the airport, and there are trains (but not a direct line).
Newark is home to more than 5,000 cherry trees. The workshop is scheduled in sync with the tentative cherry blossom festival. In addition to Rutgers-Newark campus, you can see cherry trees blooming in Branch Brook Park, Lake St & Park Ave in Newark.
