Research
Interests
Our work focuses on combining approaches from biomechanics, neuroscience, engineering, and computer science to develop and test methods to improve the delivery of care to individuals with chronic medical conditions. The support of several funding agencies and bodies enables us to run these and other studies (National Institutes of Health (NIH), Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Réseau Parkinson Québec, Weston Brain Institute, Michael J Fox Foundation, Rutgers University).

Development of a large database of normal movement patterns.
We are looking for individuals aged 1 year and older to help us create a large database of normal movement patterns. This will be used for comparison with movements patterns for individuals with a variety of disorders to help us better understand disease and develop new interventions and treatments. This study requires 1 lab visit lasting 1-2hrs (Lead researcher Dr. Brown). Contact us for more information.
