A representative collection of children’s and young adult books, both translated and in their original language, that celebrates writing and visual style and design from outside of this country.
Supporting the International Youth Literature Course and introducing collaboration with Rutgers’ Departments such as the Departments of Comparative Literature, Cultural Studies, Child Development, and more.
In celebration of global children’s literature, the ICBD event features guest readers, including award-winning children’s book authors and illustrators Peter Sís and Roger Mello, and Rutgers faculty in their native language.
Children’s and Young Adult books that are contemporary and popular in the country of origin as well as books by authors and illustrators who have won significant international awards are included in the collection.
