Kathryn Wilkens is a researcher, educator, and practitioner with more than 25 years of experience spanning alternative investments, quantitative finance, and financial education. She teaches Alternative Investments in the Master of Financial Analysis program at Rutgers Business School, where she helps graduate students bridge financial theory with modern quantitative implementation.

Her textbook, Alternative Investments: Expanding Frontiers (2026), supports the MFA curriculum and is available to the broader academic and professional community via Leanpub.

She is also the founder of Pearl Quest, an independent advisory practice serving emerging managers, and hosts the Expanding Frontiers podcast.
