Journals through Rutgers Library

Databases

  • PubMed, produced by the U.S. National Library of Medicine, comprises more than 33 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. It is freely searchable to the public since 1997.
  • Medline, produced by the U.S. National Library of Medicine, is a database of life sciences and biomedical information. It provides information relevant to the fields of medicine, nursing, and dentistry, and it also covers areas of life sciences, behavioral sciences, chemical sciences, and bioengineering that are related to health and biomedicine.
  • Reaxys, Reaxys is a web-based chemistry database that provides user-friendly online access to information about millions of chemical structures, reactions, and properties contained in theBeilstein and Gmelin databases.
  • SciFinder, is a database of chemical and bibliographic information including patents.
  • Web of Science (Science Citation Index Expanded, 1900-)

Drug Information

  • DrugBank database contains nearly 4300 drug entries and combines detailed drug data (i.e. chemical, pharmacological and pharmaceutical) with comprehensive drug target information (i.e. sequence, structure, and pathway).

  • Lexicomp® – Drug Information

Reference Citation Management

  • EndNote through Rutgers, for collecting and organizing references from online or other sources
  • RefWorks at Rutgers: RefWorks is a web-based bibliographic software package that enables you to organize your research, import references from many electronic databases, include citations while you write your paper, build a bibliography according to different stylesheets (APA, MLA, etc.) and create a bibliography in different document formats (Word, RTF, HTML, etc.).
