Marc Limata serves as the Assistant Dean of MBA Programs and Lecturer in the Department of Marketing at Rutgers Business School. He brings over 15 years of higher education experience in academic administration and teaching. Over the past ten years at Rutgers Business School, Mr. Limata has focused on student advising, leadership, teaching, and program development.
Before assuming his current position, Mr. Limata served as Interim Manager of Academic Programs, where he contributed to graduate enrollment initiatives and program rankings, and as Assistant Director of the Full-Time MBA Program, emphasizing student mentorship and retention.
In addition to his administrative leadership, Mr. Limata teaches Introduction to Marketing, Consumer Behavior and the MBA First-Year Experience course at Rutgers Business School. He also teaches Introduction to Sociology, Principles of Advertising, and Introduction to Contemporary Business at Union College of New Jersey, and previously taught Computer Applications as an adjunct professor at Goodwin University.
As Assistant Dean, Mr. Limata provides academic advisement, addresses academic concerns, supports professional development, student networking, and leads co-curricular initiatives such as case competitions and academic workshops.
Mr. Limata holds a B.S. in Business Management and Criminal Justice from Central Connecticut State University, an MBA from Salve Regina University, and an M.S.W. in Clinical Social Work from Rutgers University–New Brunswick. He is certified as a School Social Worker in the State of New Jersey and has earned a Mini-MBA in Intergenerational Leadership from Rutgers Business School and a Marketing Analytics Certificate from Cornell University.
Mr. Limata also serves as a member of the Rutgers University Senate, representing Rutgers–Newark staff as a Senator.
