Wednesday: Guest artist feature concert, opened by our RSJI Student Big Band. The 2026 camp will feature Conrad Herwig’s Latin Side Ensemble!

Students should bring their own instruments, mutes, and key/slide oil. Doubling instruments like the flugelhorn are optional. Portable brass stands are recommended.

Students must bring their own instruments and extra reeds. Saxophone doubles are encouraged but optional. Portable reed instrument stands are recommended.

All rehearsal rooms contain a piano. Piano students are not to bring their own portable keyboards or amps.

Students must bring their own instruments. All rehearsal rooms have guitar and bass amplifiers, and guitarists may bring their own portable practice amps if they choose. Friday evening concert spaces will also have amplifiers to enable quicker transitions between bands. Students must supply their own audio patch cables and replacement strings. Portable guitar and bass stands are recommended.

All rehearsal rooms have a complete drum kit, including toms, a snare drum, and cymbal stands. Students must bring their own cymbals (ride, crash, hi-hats), sticks or brushes, and a hi-hat clutch, which can all fit in a cymbal bag. Drum students are not to bring their own drum kits.
Please note: For the Friday evening concert only, cymbals will be provided and left in place to speed transitions between ensemble performances.
