Congratuations to Dr. Dina Ameen for successful completion of her PhD on June 1st.  Dina’s thesis topic was “The Transdermal Route as an Alternative for the Delivery of Drugs for Neurodegenerative Diseases”.

 

May 2020: 

Another paper from Bo Michniak – Kohn, Professor & Director of the Center for Dermal Research CDR and Laboratory for Drug Delivery LDD at Rutgers University. Example of one of many international collaborations and this one is with Thailand’s Chiang May University and Prof. Chadarat Ampasavate and her graduate Phunsuk Anantaworasakul who worked in the LDD. This shows how formulation expertise can deliver natural actives across skin layers with improved outcomes.

April 2020: 

Lisa Hongmei Lin was a visiting scientist at Rutgers University from the School of Chinese Materia Medica, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Beijing China. She was at the research laboratory of Prof. B. Michniak-Kohn Director of the Center for Dermal Research from February 2017 to February 2018. Her main research was on drug carriers for natural compounds and topical product formulation. One of our papers has just been published.

 

March 2020:

Congratulations to Dr. Anika Haq who successfully defended her Ph.D. Thesis on March 23rd 2020. Her title was “ Application of solubility-physicochemical-thermodynamic (SPT) theory for designing a topically applied thymoquinone polymer film to treat infected wounds “. Anika was a student of Prof. Bozena Michniak-Kohn at the Center for Dermal Research CDR, Rutgers-The State University of New Jersey and she was in the Graduate Program in Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers. Congratulations, Anika!!!! We wish you well in your future career !!!!
