Abstract: Through an understanding of computational tools, I was able to construct a guidebook for peers to use that includes step-by-step instructions on many genetic analysis programs. I then used these tools to differentiate RNA expression upon Vitamin D treatment in mice colon, crypt, and villus tissue. This showed promising results in the correlation of Vitamin D stimulating Calcium uptake and also provided further avenues of research to look into Vitamin D’s role in immune response.
