Dr. Belykh earned his medical degree from the Irkutsk State Medical University and completed his residency at Irkutsk Medical Academy of Continuing Education in Irkutsk, Russia. He obtained a Ph.D. from the N.N. Burdenko Institute of Neurosurgery in Moscow. He has completed Robert F. Spetzler Neurosurgery Research Fellowship at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, AZ, and obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Arizona State University – Barrow Neurological Institute Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Neuroscience. Dr. Belykh is a strong believer in teamwork and life-long learning to provide the best possible care to the patients. His scientific interests include fluorescence and optical imaging in neurosurgery, neurooncology, skull base surgery, quantitative neuroanatomy, simulation technologies, and microneurosurgery training (ResearchGate profile; Google scholar). When not at work, Dr. Belykh spends time with his wife Liudmila. His hobbies include reading, hiking, volleyball, basketball, and snowboarding.
