Brain & Spine Tumor Board

The Brain and Spine Tumor Board is provided by Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Department of Neurosurgery & Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey at University Hospital. Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

• Discuss the pathophysiology and management of patients with brain and spine tumors to improve specialty-specific neuro-oncological care
• Correlate the clinical presentation of cases with the pathological, radiological, and surgical findings
• Discuss treatment options for specific presented oncological cases, particularly the most challenging ones from the institution
• Apply best practices in cancer care as established by multiple organizations in oncology

Target Audience

This activity is designed for neurosurgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, neuro-radiologists, neuro-pathologists), nurses, and clinical research staff.

In support of improving patient care, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
