Ariane Athena Vasilatis graduated in 2021 with her PhD from Rutgers University. During her time at Rutgers, Dr. Vasilatis gained a diverse background in chemistry with specific applications to biological systems. Her projects included phyto-chemical analysis of African Indigenous Vegetables (AIVs) for improved health, the profiling of aroma compounds in tomato, thyme, oregano, and basil to improve breeding efforts, and the application of anti-microbial plant essential oils to improve food security.

After graduation, Dr. Vasilatis now works as the Co Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Zena Therapeutics, Inc.
