Mara Sanders, MS

Mara graduated with her MS in 2018 from the New Use Agriculture and Natural Plant Products Program (NUANPP) at Rutgers University. Her research focused on determining the leaf nutritional and yield components of roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa) in Sub-Saharan Africa and North-Eastern United States. After graduating, Mara now works for the USDA as a Plant Variety Examiner, examining plant varieties for protection under the Plant Variety Protection Act.
