Shashikant Kotwal is a current PhD studnet in the Department of Plant Biology at Rutgers University. He is interested in expanding his knowledge in LC specifically using UHPLC-UV-QTOF-MS and UHPLC-QQQ-MS (Agilent). Through his studies, he has learned to incorporate Mass Spectrometric techniques with UHPLC to develop high-throughput methods for identification and quantification of natural products in several leafy greens (basil, kale, lettuce, thyme, and more) for our lab group as well as multi-million and billion dollar valuation companies. Shashikant hopes to continue investigating the world of plant-based natural products and its role in flavor chemistry, and efficacy against illnesses.
