What occurs in our empty 4-H Camp, once the campers are gone?
Well, for one, we allow our resident Great Blue Heron…
To run a Camp all of its own.
It’s not too different from our Camp!
The Heron schedules plenty of time at the waterfront.
Then,
After that,
Takes its own path back…
(Just like us)
To the home side of the Lake Shawanni shore.
And what,
Is it getting up…
Over there?
Well,
I imagine the same thing…
We get up to…
On that same section of shore:
Fishing.
(Seems like a safe bet.)
And then!
We move on again,
Cause while at Camp…
You can never stay in one place for too long.
And of course,
What day at 4-H Camp would be complete…
Without a little bit of quality time…
Spent sitting at the Lakeside Fire Ring…
Staring out at the view across Lake Shawanni.
Then it’s off again!
Cause at 4-H Camp,
Whether we’re full of campers or no,
You never quite know…
