University Partners
Partnerships manages collaborative relationships with various institutions, especially from Newark and greater Newark. This office ensures that current academic partner students attending Rutgers University-Newark receive support services needed to graduate. The goal is to engage these students as fully in the student development opportunities available on campus and in the community. This office primarily serves undergraduates from the Rutgers Future Scholars, Cooperman College Scholars, KIPP and TheDream.US Programs.
The Rutgers Future Scholars program connects students with a Future Scholars Mentor who provides them with mentoring, tutoring, and personal guidance. The Scholars receive tutoring as necessary to strengthen their academic achievement.
With a bold vision, strong leadership, and deep community engagement, Newark is working towards a strong economic future for all residents. Joining Newark in 2015, Braven is proud to be a partner in this community-wide effort.
KIPP New Jersey is a nonprofit organization that operates a network of public charter schools in Newark and Camden that center on empowering students to succeed both in their academics and in life. We focus on the needs of our students and build strong foundations that will empower them from elementary school all the way through college.
Cooperman College Scholars is a program that supports academically talented, highly motivated students with financial need from Essex County, New Jersey, in their efforts to attain a four-year college degree. The program provides a three-week Summer Academy, a scholarship to attend college, as well as mentoring and other resources to ease the transition to college and support each Scholar’s success.
TheDream.US is the nation’s largest college access and success program for DREAMers. We believe that all that DREAMers need is an opportunity. And all we need to do is provide them with financial support to attend one of our Partner Colleges, committed to their college completion.
