Newark & Its University – Part I

Celebrating Rutgers University-Newark’s 75th anniversary as a public institution also means confronting its history of exclusion. In this panel, we reflect on the mobilization that students and activists undertook in the 1960s and 1970s, and that has led the University to become more inclusive and discuss the continued efforts and challenges of ensuring that the University fulfills its mission of serving the public.
