Research assistants work with Drs Slawa Rokicki and Mark McGovern and PRISM Postdoctoral Associates on active research projects. Prospective candidates are encouraged to review our ORCID pages (https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0131-3466 and https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9176-373X), and the PRISM Publications and Projects pages for examples.
These roles involve quantitative analysis of survey and other data. Required skills include basic understanding of regression analysis and experience using Stata or R.
If you are interested in working with the PRISM group, and you have experience of quantitative analysis using Stata or R, you are welcome to complete an application form, which involves a brief data exercise. The data exercise helps us to understand your quantitative abilities and is a good example for you to understand the kind of research work and data problem solving skills we are looking for.
If you return the completed form by email, along with an up to date CV, to Dr. Mark McGovern (mark.mcgovern@rutgers.edu) or Dr. Slawa Rokicki (slawa.rokicki@rutgers.edu), we will contact you if another position becomes available.
Undergraduate Research Assistants
Depending on the project, undergraduate students may be eligible to apply to one of our research assistant positions. We also plan to offer opportunities for Rutgers undergraduate students through the Aresty Research Assistant Program (https://aresty.rutgers.edu/programs-funding/research-assistant-program). Interested students are encouraged to review the criteria when it next opens for applications, and to complete the PRISM RA application form above.
