K23 Family Based Treatment Study (at UCSF)
Sponsored by the National Institutes of Mental Health, the goal of this study is to better understand whether there are differences between youth who struggle with anorexia nervosa and youth who have never struggled with an eating disorder in several processes relevant to learning. We are testing whether differences in how teens with eating disorders process information may predict how they do in treatment and can give us ideas for how to improve treatments in the future.
We have closed recruitment for the study, which took place at UCSF from 2022-2026. We are now finalizing data collection and analysis pipelines.
