November Meeting

November 25, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Come hear Ben Wurst talk about wildlife conservation! There will be free pizza at the meeting. The meeting will be held in room 123 of ENR (14 college farm road) at 6pm!

Ben Wurst graduated from Unity College in 2004 where he obtained a bachelors degree in Environmental Science with emphasis in Wildlife Conservation. After graduating, Ben began working in the field as a seasonal wildlife technician with the NJ Division of Fish & Wildlife’s Endangered & Nongame Species Program. There he has had the opportunity to assist the Division with various wildlife conservation management projects in southern coastal New Jersey. In 2008, he began working full time for the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of NJ where he continues to assist NJ Fish & Wildlife with monitoring and managing rare wildlife, including peregrine falcons and bald eagles. Ben leads several conservation projects for CWF which include ospreys and diamondback terrapins, where we have made large efforts to bring in private funding to monitor and mange them. He has also participated in recent efforts to monitor Ridgway’s ospreys in Belize.
