Hunter's Education Day is an annual tradition for RUWTS. This event will provide the opportunity to learn about hunting in New Jersey. Food will be provided. RU Wildlife Society will be joining the Forestry Club for a full-day trip to the Sparta Mountain Wildlife Management Area. Forester Don Donnelly and wildlife biologist Sharon Petzinger will serve as guides through the area, which is a part of an ongoing stewardship project that removes trees in order to create successional habitat for wildlife. Nature Conservancy Volunteering Day

The Nature Conservancy Volunteering Day is an opportunity to volunteer with The Nature Conservancy on their Columbia Dam removal project. We will help remove tree protections (tubes/stakes) from mature trees at a reforestation site in the former impoundment of the Columbia dam on the Paulins Kill. Before the Columbia dam was removed in 2018 by TNC and partners, this site was completely underwater for about 110 years.
