I am a second year PhD student in the neuroscience program. My research is focused on developing iPSC-based chimeric mouse models to study glia-glia interactions. In particular, I am interested in studying glia-glia interactions in neurodevelopmental disorders such as down syndrome. I somewhat became interested in science policy as an undergraduate where I was involved in advocating for more student funding from state legislators. This led me to join SPAR in Fall 2020. Since joining SPAR, I have had the chance to improve my scientific communication skills through various events SPAR organized. I am looking forward to this year and looking forward to advocating for science and improving scientific communication skills!
