Northeast and Caribbean Mental Health Technology Transfer Center (MHTTC)
The Northeast & Caribbean Mental Health Technology Transfer Center (MHTTC) serves New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands, providing training, technical assistance, and resource dissemination to support and enhance the mental health workforce.
The MHTTC Network has developed online courses currently available through Healtheknowledge.org. HealtheKnowledge.org offers high-quality, on-demand or instructor-led courses that are open to the public. Courses include Illness Management and Recovery and Empowering Wellness in Mental Health. Courses are free for a certificate of completion, and when available, continuing education is $5 per credit hour.
Institute for Inpatient Psychiatric Rehabilitation (IIPR)
The mission of the Institute for Inpatient Psychiatric Rehabilitation (IIPR) is to improve the quality of care provided at New Jersey’s state psychiatric hospitals through consultation, education, program development and evaluation, using psychiatric rehabilitation goals, values and principles as well as current research.
The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Educational Program (PREP) is an online, live webinar series provided by the NJDOH/Division of Behavioral Health Services and the Rutgers IIPR. The webinars are recorded and posted. Topics include trauma-informed care, a stages of change primer, and many more.
Integrated Employment Institute (IEI)
The Integrated Employment Institute (IEI) provides research-based training and guidance to providers, educators, consumers, and service systems so individuals with mental health conditions can flourish in the work environment or the classroom.
IEI Trainings are designed for employment staff, other service providers, businesses, practitioners working in partial care/hospitalization, other treatment-based settings, and consumers. They are offered throughout southern New Jersey to increase successful employment outcomes for people with mental health illnesses and split into prevocational and career services.
