About Us

The Rutgers School of Health Professions Methodology and Statistics Support Team (MSST) was formed in 2017 to promote and facilitate faculty research and scholarship within the school. The MSST provides a range of support services including:

• quantitative and qualitative study design and analysis support,
• grant proposal development,
• Institutional Review Board Support,
• data management,
• consulting on the creation of data collection tools,
• education research and evaluation, and
• support for manuscript writing.

MSST faculty specialize in both quantitative statistical analyses (including meta-analysis, generalized linear analyses, random effects models) as well as qualitative and mixed methods analyses.

During its first year, the MSST supported over 20 faculty projects resulting in multiple peer reviewed publications and submissions as well as conference presentations and grant applications. By 2021, MSST has grown to a three faculty member team and have supported well over 200 faculty research and scholarship projects, grants and training sessions.

The MSST is currently directed by J. Scott Parrott, PhD and is expanding to meet the growing demand for research support and consultation within the Rutgers School of Health Professions.
