Kaitlin Mitchell

Kaitlin Mitchell, MSW, LCSW is a Senior Training & Consultation Specialist and adjunct faculty member in the Department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation at Rutgers University with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. Kaitlin reviews and analyzes data from healthcare systems in order to make recommendations for performance improvement. Her background includes work in the fields of developmental disabilities, substance use, acute care, and crisis intervention. Kaitlin has also participated in research related to educational outcomes for individuals with serious mental illness, trauma in inpatient mental health settings, and positive psychology interventions for clinical populations. She has extensive clinical experience in administering individual and group interventions to individuals with serious mental illness in a variety of settings including inpatient, partial hospitals, intensive outpatient, and community mental health programs. Kaitlin is currently a doctoral candidate pursuing her degree in Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counseling.
