PREP Webinar: Dating and Romance: Supporting this Human Desire in the People You Serve
Should the people you support pursue dating and meaningful relationships? Conventional wisdom in the mental health field often encourages individuals to “wait until they’re healthier” or to avoid romantic goals altogether. Yet the desire for connection, intimacy, and companionship is a deeply human one—and often an important part of recovery.
In this engaging session, Emily Grossman shares her personal journey of navigating romance while living with and recovering from a serious mental health condition. Building on her lived experience and professional expertise, she will explore how practitioners can thoughtfully and effectively support individuals who identify intimacy, dating, or relationships as part of their personal recovery goals.
