SMART Recovery is a mutual self-help group that provides assistance for individuals seeking abstinence from addiction. This is a unique program compared to the traditional 12-Step model due to its 4-point program and lack of emphasis on spirituality. During this webinar we will discuss the key differences between SMART and the 12-Step model, identify the barriers to using SMART Recovery in an inpatient psychiatric setting, and explore how the integrative approach and meeting structure impacts the experience.
