PREP Webinar: Social Learning Program
The Social Learning Program (SLP) is a comprehensive, evidenced-based treatment for psychiatric inpatients with schizophrenia or other psychotic disorders (Paul & Lentz, 1977), designed to treat individuals within inpatient settings. The purpose of this training is to provide a historical overview of the development and implementation of the SLP, as well as to orient participants to the basic principles of the intervention (e.g., the token economy, IMR, and CBSST). Furthermore, this training will introduce participants to the direct observational assessment system that is central to the SLP. Participants will also learn about the implementation of this intervention within a high-security forensic inpatient hospital in Missouri, and the effectiveness of the program following its inception in 1987.
