The social determinants of health refer to the complex, integrated, and overlapping social structures and economic systems responsible for most health inequities. The relationship between the social determinants of health and mental health conditions is intricate. Many studies have indicated that diminished social determinants of health can influence the onset, severity, and progression of a mental health condition. In this 60-minute webinar, practitioners will learn about these contextual barriers to recovery and explore how inpatient providers can begin the process of developing the core social determinants of health factors.
