This presentation explores using Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help individuals overcome their fear of change, addressing factors like resistance and ambivalence that impede personal recovery. We will discuss what fear of change might look and sound like in our clients and learn practical MI strategies, including collaboration, empathy, and eliciting change talk, to empower individuals to achieve positive change.
