We study the molecular and cellular mechanisms regulating memory of threat as well as affective and social behaviors, including maternal care. At the neural circuitry level, we focus on the cortico-limbic projections, such as those connecting the amygdala, hippocampus and prefrontal cortex. At the intracellular level, our focus is on experience-regulated events at the synapse and in the neuronal nucleus.
