Kuhelika has completed her Master’s in Biomedical Sciences from Grand Valley State University, Michigan and is currently a PhD student in the Xiao lab. Her research focuses on projects related to hyperandrogenism in females, which can result from conditions like PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) and environmental exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals. This is particularly relevant to female reproductive health as hyperandrogenism can lead to various complications like infertility, menstrual irregularities, increased risk of metabolic and cardiovascular disorders, anxiety and depression.
