-
Appointment-based tutoring is available for all undergraduate nursing courses by the Faculty Nominated Peer Tutors. Students can request one peer tutoring appointment per seven day period.
-
Undergraduate students may schedule individual tutoring appointments with an alumni tutor using the OAS Bookings tool. Alumni tutors are graduates of the School of Nursing currently working in the nursing field or perusing graduate coursework.
-
Drop-in Tutoring is facilitated by the OAS Alumni tutors, graduates of SON currently working in the healthcare field or enrolled in graduate school.
Students are encouraged to use drop-in tutoring for quick, course specific questions not requiring an entire appointment (1 hour). Drop-in sessions are also a unique opportunity to self-assess your understanding by listening to other student questions and tutor responses

Academic Coaching
Academic Coaching aims to equip nursing students with the skills, strategies, and tools necessary to achieve success within the rigorous expectations of the School of Nursing curriculum. Academic Coaching presents the unique opportunity to hone your intrinsic skills outside of the classroom by improving your ability to collaborate with classmates, develop a healthy time management balance, and explore nursing-specific approaches to academic challenges.
All academic coaching sessions are one hour long.
