Lab Director

Steven Berg, PhD

Dr. Berg has served as Assistant Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Rutgers University since 2023. He has previous industry experience as CEO of a small business focused on small satellite propulsion research and development, and as a propulsion and test engineer at SpaceX. He earned his PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2015 for his work in multimode spacecraft propulsion. He has co-authored more than 40 publications and presentations and two patents.
