In his role as a lecturer and Honors College faculty fellow, Dr. Walker contributes to the Rutgers community in multiple ways. His responsibilities include organizing research projects, writing grants, delivering lectures, advising and supervising students, and serving on university committees.

Grant writer for curriculum development of the course Religion & Health.

Faculty Advisor for the Office of Scholar Development to support students applying for Fulbright awards.

Faculty Advisor of independent study for a religious studies student about Religion & Health.

Faculty Advisor of independent study for an honors college student about American Muslim Life: Law & Society.

Supervisor for the experiential honors seminar for four students to serve as Teaching Assistants for the course Happiness.

Member of the advisory board and strategic planning committee for the Childism Institute, co-hosted by Rutgers University, the University of Stavanger in Norway, and the Roskilde University in Denmark.
