A Film By Hilary Mateo

My film “Glitch” is a representation of vulnerability. As someone who typically runs from her problems and uses work as a distraction, I wanted to be honest with myself and normalize the fear of growing up. Oftentimes we are so caught up in chasing our future and reaching our goals, putting so much pressure on ourselves to be successful, to be financially stable, to be happy, that we lose ourselves in the process. If only I could stop the clock of time. If only there were more hours in a day. If only I was smarter, rich or merely just lucky. If only. I hope that this film resonates for whoever lays eyes on it, and they realize that patience is a virtue and there’s no rush to life because after all it is YOUR life! Grasp it, cherish it and attend to it because even through the continuum of time, the memories are the only thing you hold to forever.
