This is the official site of the Rutgers Zoological Collection, a growing educational and research resource dedicated to supporting hands-on learning, scientific discovery, and community outreach within the Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Natural Resources. Our collections include preserved specimens of birds, mammals, fish, snakes, and amphibian, plus an egg collections, teaching materials, and archival material used for undergraduate education, research, and public engagement. Since Spring 2022, students and staff have worked together to organize, expand, and improve the collections to better serve classes, researchers, and visitors. Through classroom support, outreach events, guided tours, and student-led projects, the Zoological Collections provide opportunities for undergraduate experiential learning while helping preserve biodiversity and natural history for future generations.
