Anxiety by Ashleigh Howard Jones

My roommate is such a drag!
She sits on my chest so I can’t get up in the morning.
She distracts me from doing my work.
She doesn’t let me leave my bed.
She is always around and never leaves me alone.
But at night…at night she turns into a different being.
She gets in my head.
She says harsh words and urges me to do drastic things.
She haunts me and won’t let me sleep.
She is always around and never leaves me alone.
She made sure quarantine wasn’t all peachy keen.
She made sure we were stuck in a room where she couldn’t take her eyes off of me.
Her name is Anxiety.
She is always around and never leaves me alone.
