This chapter focuses on education and the youth. Its goal is to investigate how COVID-19 has affected Newark’s education system. After the immediate shutdown in the spring, and transition into teaching online, students would like to discover how remote learning has benefited or harmed Newark’s youth. This chapter intends to look into the lives of the youth, and analyze how the pandemic has changed their social, emotional, or family circumstances.

The students in this chapter interviewed school administrators, tutors, the superintendent, students, etc, to cover all sides of education and COVID-19, as well as keep the community updated on possible changes in school policies.
