Surprising News: Drylands Are Not Getting Drier

Professor Lintner recently co-authored a Nature Climate Change study on soil moisture-atmosphere feedbacks in drylands.  The findings of the study suggest that soil moisture exerts a negative feedback on surface water availability in drylands, offsetting some of the expected decline in water availability over these areas.
