Our mission is to develop innovative and practical solutions for sustainable turfgrass disease management

We generate practical turfgrass disease management recommendations by understandings complex plant-soil-microbe-environment interactions. The Chou lab leverages multi-omics to investigate disease suppressive microbiome in managed turfgrass systems. We also rigorously evaluate and develop efficient cool-season turfgrass disease management measures such as integrated disease control programs using disease predictive models, and rapid disease risk evaluation assays.
