Our laboratory resides in the Biomedical Engineering Building on the Busch Campus of Rutgers in Piscataway, NJ. We promote an interdisciplinary and collaborative culture with students joining the lab from a variety of disciplines spanning engineering and the life and physical sciences.

Our current research foci include the multi-scale analysis of CNS injury mechanics; biomaterial, tissue, and cellular engineering approaches for repair and restoration of neural functions; a biophysical analysis of traditional acupuncture; and the development of technology for electropration that is grounded in electrohydrodynamic theory.

Above all, we aim to find the identify and find the answers to interesting scientific questions, and to train the next generation of leaders in the scientific community to do the same.
