The REU Site in Cellular Bioengineering, directed by Professor Shreiber, was renewed for three years with a $428,240 grant from the National Science Foundation. The next 3-year cycle of the program will continue to provide cutting-edge research opportunities, professional development activities, and exercises in innovation and entrepreneurship. In addition, a new emphasis on engineering to address health disparities will be introduced by the new co-director of the program, Professor Maribel Vazquez.
