  • TELEhealth Shared decision-making Coaching for lung cancer screening in Primary care (TELESCOPE) for Hispanics: This pilot study aims to culturally adapt an existing TELEhealth Shared decision-making COaching and navigation for lung cancer screening in Primary carE (TELESCOPE; R01HL158850, PI: Kinney) intervention to create a culturally appropriate shared-decision making and navigation intervention for Hispanics in primary care settings. We will assess its feasibility, acceptability, and explore its impact on the uptake of low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) compared to enhanced usual care (training clinicians to discuss lung cancer screening[LCS]) for LCS in Hispanics.

  • Moviendo la Cadera: Effects of Latin Dancing on Sleep Quality in Hispanic Cancer Survivors: Develop a culturally appropriate Latin dancing (LD) intervention for Hispanic cancer survivors using a bidirectional community engagement approach. Using iterative qualitative feedback from Hispanic cancer survivors, we will develop a Latin dance intervention for Hispanic cancer survivors and test its feasibility and preliminary impact on sleep outcomes in this population.

  • Health Needs Assessment for LGBTQ+ Hispanic Cancer Patients and Survivors: Although cancer clinical trials (CTs) are critical for advancing cancer care, participation remains disproportionately low among minority populations. For Hispanic LGBTQ+ cancer survivors, intersecting identities may exacerbate existing barriers to CT engagement, yet no prior research has examined their experiences. This study identifies barriers, facilitators, and decision-making factors that shape CT engagement in this population.
