How do I know if my poster has been accepted?

  • All posters are accepted upon submission. GRIB is a graduate-student run conference and aims to provide the feel of an off-campus conference, while fostering a low-stress and inclusive environment. As such, we encourage all to participate in the poster session and competition.

How do I enter the poster competition?

  • To enter the competition, please register for the conference before the poster-competition deadline (April 5, 2024) and follow the instructions on the registration link.

If I don’t want to be entered into the poster competition, can I still present my poster at the GRIB conference?

  • Yes, please indicate that you’re interested in presenting a poster when you register for the conference by responding “yes” to “There will be a poster session for GRIB 2024.  Will you be presenting a poster?”

I am a postdoctoral fellow, can I still submit my poster to GRIB?

  • Yes, you can present your poster at the conference, but we do not currently have a competition for postdoctoral fellows. Our current poster competition is only for graduate students and undergraduate students. Please indicate that you’re interested in presenting a poster when you register for the conference.

I’m not in the Food Science, Nutritional Sciences, Endocrinology and Animal Biosciences, or Kinesiology and Applied Physiology departments.  Can I still bring a poster to GRIB?

  • Of course!  Anything research related to biosciences in some way is encouraged to be presented.

Who will be judging the posters for the poster competition?

  • We have student and faculty judges from Food Science, Nutritional Sciences, Endocrinology and Animal Biosciences, or Kinesiology and Applied Physiology Departments who will be judging the posters.

How can I print my poster?

  • Poster presenters are responsible for printing their own posters.

What size should my poster be?

  • Posters should be 36in x 44in to fit on our poster boards.

I missed the deadline for the poster competition.  Can I still present my poster at the GRIB conference?

  • Yes, you can present your poster at the conference. Please indicate that you’re interested in presenting a poster when you register for the conference.
