Registration for the GRIB 2024 

Conference is now available!

Please join us for a day highlighting graduate student research! The GRIB Conference will include presentations from graduate students and invited keynote speakers, as well as a poster session/competition.

GRIB is organized exclusively by graduate students from the Nutritional Sciences, Endocrinology & Animal Biosciences, Food Science, and Kinesiology & Applied Physiology Departments here at Rutgers University.

Registration will remain open until the end of the conference on 4/11/2024.
However, please register by April 5th to guarantee your complimentary conference meal and to be entered in the poster competition. 

 

Share your research at GRIB 2024!

 

The 2024 GRIB Conference will hold an in-person poster session for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as postdoctoral fellows to present their work. Posters will be presented in person at the GRIB Conference poster session on April 11th between 12 adn 12:45pm. Poster presenters are highly encouraged to set up their posters between 8:30am and 9:00am, and they should plan to be available from 12pm-12:45pm for presentation of their posters during the poster session.

Poster competition (undergraduate and graduate students only): Participants who registered for the poster competition will be judged by faculty and graduate students judges during the poster session. If you would like to participate in the poster competition, but can only be available during part of the poster session due to class/teaching conflicts, PLEASE LET US KNOW, so we can try to accommodate you.

  • A high-scoring poster will include the following components:
    • Title
    • Names of authors and affiliated organizations
    • Background and objectives/aims/hypotheses
    • Methods
    • Results with graphical representation of your findings (tables, graphs, charts, etc.)
    • Conclusions/discussion of future directions

Please note there is no abstract requirement for the poster competition; however, there will be no penalization if an abstract is included.

Poster competition scoring will be based on the poster itself, as well as the presentation of the research by the poster presenter. 

Deadline to register for the poster competition is Friday, April 5th, 2024.
